Research On The Development Mechanism Of China's Traditional Manufacturing Cluster From The Perspective Of Transaction Cost

The traditional manufacturing cluster,as a growth pole and crucial part of regional economy,has gone hand in hand with the stable economy and society for a long time.While under the New Normal,with pressures from home and abroad,the development mechanism of the traditional manufacturing industry cluster has changed and it is indispensable to reexamine it.This paper argues that the reduced transaction cost is an effective way to optimize traditional manufacturing development mechanism and by reducing transaction costs,an ecological system of traditional manufacturing clusters could be established and also the traditional manufacturing could be elevated and energetic.The main content of the article consists of the following four parts:First,transaction costs have a significant impact on industrial cluster development mechanism.Based on value chain theory,the traditional manufacturing industrial cluster development mechanism has failed to deal with productivity and production relations and the part-whole relationship.For this weakness,it is essential to optimize the traditional manufacturing industry cluster development mechanism.Second,based on the meaning of the transaction cost and combining the particularity of traditional manufacturing clusters,transaction costs of industrial cluster in this article are divided into market transaction cost,social transaction cost and institutional transaction cost.At the same time,reduced transaction cost can effectively lower the production cost and total cost of industrial cluster,which further upgrades and stimulate the development of industrial cluster.Third,various transaction costs have different impacts on the development of industrial clusters.Reducing market transaction cost can lower the cost associated with the contract and the cost of collecting the information,which promotes the innovation of production and marketing mode and reshapes the power system of the industrial cluster.Reducing the social transaction cost can lower communication cost between enterprises,facilitate the intermediate role of organizations such as trade association,and improve the management and coordination system of industrialcluster.Reducing institutional transaction cost can accelerate the reform of institutional mechanism,improve public services,and further enhance the auxiliary support system of industrial cluster.On this basis,the traditional manufacturing cluster ecosystem could be built and the development of industrial cluster could be promoted.Forth,this paper takes Shun de household appliance industry cluster as a case to analyze how to promote the development of traditional industrial cluster by reducing transaction costs.On the basis of this analysis and embracing the ecological system of industrial cluster,this paper puts forward that by reducing transaction cost,including the protection of intellectual property rights,the development of e-commerce,the improvement of industry associations,the increasing public services,and the like,we can promote the upgrading of industrial cluster development.
