The rapid development of China's economy has made consumers more demanding on the quality and variety of agricultural products. In addition, the allocation of agricultural resources in China is irrational. Some foreign countries impose trade restrictions on China, although the proportion of agricultural trade in foreign trade is small. However, indispensable in a country's trade, safeguarding national food security plays an important role.In the face of internal and external difficulties,China at this stage urgently needs to seek new markets for agricultural products.Central Asia is the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt and its strategic position has gradually increased.Kazakhstan is the largest economy in Central Asia and borders on China. It has abundant arable and oil resources and has an important strategic position in trade. Therefore, strengthening trade cooperation between China and Kazakhstan will help ensure national food security.Improving the "difficulty within the world".First of all,the article system has combed domestic and foreign studies on agricultural trade, explained trade-related theories, and on the basis of analysis of relevant research and theories,it has defined relevant concepts such as agricultural product scope, trade relations, trade influencing factors, and so on.Secondly, using the trade data for the period from 1995 to 2016,the trade status of agricultural products in China and Kazakhstan in the past 22 years has been analyzed in depth from the scale of trade in agricultural products and the structure of trade;the three aspects are trade scale, trade product structure, and trade status. The status of bilateral agricultural trade between China and Kazakhstan was analyzed.Third, using the trade intensity index to analyze the closeness of trade in agricultural products between China and Kazakhstan, and using the comparative comparative advantage index and trade competitiveness index to empirically analyze the competitive characteristics of agricultural products trade between China and Kazakhstan, using intra-industry trade indices and trade. The complementarity index empirically analyzes the complementarity of agricultural products trade between China and Kazakhstan.Fourth, the gravity model is constructed by introducing variables such as the size of the economy, population, economic distance, agricultural added value of the importing country, whether they are bordering, the degree of economic openness of the importing country, whether they join the economic organization, and the use of panel data from 1995-2016 to analyze China.Factors affecting the export of agricultural products to major trading partner countries. The article has conducted an in-depth analysis of the trade status, trade relations and influencing factors of agricultural products between China and Kazakhstan. As a result, the bilateral trade volume of bilateral agricultural products between China and Kazakhstan has been continuously expanding, with a single product structure,a tight connection between bilateral trade, and less competition and complementarity. The empirical model of China's agricultural products export trade through the econometric model shows that the variables such as the economic scale of the two countries, the agricultural added value of the importing country, the territorial border, the degree of economic opening of the importing country, and the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation organization have positive effects on export trade. The role of the promotion, the scale of the trade, the linear distance between the two sides, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development(OECD),have affected the export trade. Finally, some countermeasures are proposed to promote the trade of agricultural products between China and Kazakhstan.
