Different from the traditional industries,the service industry has its particularity.The staffs have to face a large number of emotional labor management every day,they are the direct practitioners to provide quality service,and the level of their work engagement is closely related to the service quality.Work engagement is a positive mental state associated with work.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical value to explore the impact of service workers' professional identity on the level of work engagement and analyze its internal mechanism.As the individual's self-affirmation on the purpose,meaning and role of their work,professional identity is an internalized psychological state which decides their own positive career behavior tend.The thesis first summarizes the existing literatures on professional identity and work engagement,introduces the emotional labor according to the resource conservation and emotional regulation theory,and explores how professional identity generates work engagement through emotional labor strategies,constructing the mechanism model and puts forward the related hypotheses.Secondly,using the questionnaire survey method and testing the relevant hypothesis by the hierarchical regression method etc.The results show that professional identity has a positive effect on the three dimensions of work engagement,and has positive effects on deep play,active real and passive real behavior in emotional labor;deep play,active and passive real behaviors are influencing employees' work engagement and mediating between professional identity and work engagement.This thesis aims to explore the influence mechanism of professional identity on work engagement,and to reveal effective ways to improve work engagement level.Providing effective decision-making reference for enterprises to formulate effective measures to manage the staff's emotional labor and work engagement.
