A Study On Reform Of Logistics Center For Beijiao Freight Yard,Shanghai Hub

With the rapid development of global economic integration and technology,logistics management and information technology have been mutually promoted and accelerated.It is generally believed that logistic and supply chain management are important components of third profit source and competitiveness of enterprises.Freight yard is the important node and support of railway transportation network.The traditional freight yards have been more and more challenged by the blooming market economy after China's reform and opening up to meet the requirement of logistics management.Therefore,the freight yards must be upgraded and refined to modern logistics center.The thesis has studied the complete process of Beijiao Freight Yard's upgrading to logistics center.Firstly,it has analyzed the current status,change and trend of economy and transportation market of Shanghai,by which the operational conditions of Beijiao Freight Yard are considered to be qualified for the upgrading.The twice Questionnaire Surveys have been utilized to investigate the major problems of management and service,the first Questionnaire Survey via Delphi Method was to solicit relatively centralized opinions from experts,which consists of detailed fifteen questions by five dimensions.In terms of the first Questionnaire Survey,the second Questionnaire was designed and analyzed,which was based on Sampling Method.The recovery rate,valid response rate,reliability and validity were analyzed and verified.Factors in Dimensions of Facility and Information Technology Automation were simplified.Thus,the major problems in Freight Yard were identified.Aiming at major problems,the measures were taken,which also illustrated the necessity of logistic reform in Beijiao Freight Yard.Secondly,the thesis has analyzed the seven detailed measures for the logistic reform.Lastly,the study has demonstrated that Beijiao Freight Yard's upgrading to railway logistics center was completed.With the DEA model,the operational efficiency comparison and the achievement from logistic reform have been analyzed.Furthermore,the development measures for next step of logistic reform have been proposed.
