With the development of science and technology, the era of intelligent manufacturing is coming. The degree of automation and the proportion of brain labor in production have sharply risen.Revolutionary changes are taking place in production modes and workers' operation patterns,of which the work contents are no longer simplistic and specialized. In response to such changes, the organization and management of each link of the entire production course in manufacturing are crucial, which not only relate to the efficient completion of production tasks, but also play a vital role in enhancing the competitiveness of enterprise. Therefore,it is imperative to introduce the work scheduling into the integrated manufacturing system.Even though the production mode in manufacturing is gradually improving, much work still can't avoid manual operation, especially for production supporting work in which the role of workers responsible for its completion is particularly critical to the entire manufacturing system. Many factors in production site lead to the fatigue that directly induces reduction of production efficiency and frequent occurrence of accidents.Hence,it is necessary to consider work fatigue and its effect from the perspective of human factors and optimize the scheduling of production supporting personnel. This research takes production supporting personnel as research object, which is rarely involved in the current research. The definition and characteristics of production supporting personnel are generalized.First, the SEM model based on DEMATEL-ISM is put forward to analyze the key causes and effects of work fatigue, and some suggestions are drawn according to the conclusion.Second,in order to facilitate the standardization of operation procedures and the flexibility of work allocation,it modularizes the work contents and divides the operating units.Third,a work fatigue model for production supporting personnel is established.Combined with SEM analysis results, the impacting effect of fatigue factors is quantified to modify the work fatigue model of production supporting personnel. On this basis,a single worker work-break scheduling model is established aiming at minimizing work error ratio and total completion time simultaneously, considering production supporting personnel's physical and mental workload as well as job failure. Finally, the genetic algorithm is applied to solve the model, and a calculating example is given to verify it.The result shows that the key causes and impacting effect can be obtained by using the work fatigue causal model to analyze work of production supporting personnel, which is conducive to providing theoretical basis for further optimizing working environment. It also confirms that DEMATEL-ISM can be used as an effective tool for building SEM.Moreover, the optimal sequence, break point and duration can be generated by modeling the work scheduling of production supporting personnel in consideration of fatigue, which provides scientific basis and decision-making reference for work arrangements and configurations of production supporting personnel.Ultimately,it contributes to alleviating or eliminating the fatigue sense of workers, reducing work errors and improving the overall labor efficiency.
