Since 1997,China has vigorously advocated the strategy of Reform and Opening and China's enterprises began to go global.According to report,Chinese foreign direct investment has continuously grown for 10 years since 2005,reaching $ 170.1 billion in 2016.In 2015,Chinese government began to promote ‘Belt& Road Initiative' so that more and more Chinese companies enter the market of countries alongside ‘Belt& Road Initiative'.During the process of implementing cross-cultural management,differences of social systems,religious beliefs,value systems,economic systems,legal systems,and openness bring pressure to Chinese enterprises on cross-cultural management.From the cultural perspective,this thesis focuses on the expression of culture conflict and adaptation and analyze the difficulties that Chinese multinational companies encounter in the process cross-cultural management from the cultural perspective and propose measures and solutions.This study selects Chinese Bauing Group as object for analysis and there are three reasons: Firstly,Bauing Group is a multinational company and chooses Indonesia as the start point of its international business;Secondly,Indonesian Bauing Group has established and there are many expatriates from China to Indonesia Bauing Group;Finally,as an emerging market and main country of ‘Belt & Road Initiative',cross-cultural management of Indonesian employees has more room and value for research.Therefore,analyzing the Chinese Bauing Group from the cross-cultural perspective and putting forward countermeasures can provide useful reference for the implementation of cross-cultural management strategy for Chinese enterprises.The main research methods of this thesis are literature research and case study.The author learned about the cultural differences and conflicts existing within Shenzhen Baauing Group and collected 81 valid questionnaires for analysis with SPSS.The descriptive statistics and correlation analysis were used to analyze the situation of cross-cultural adaptation of Chinese expatriates in Indonesian Bauing Group,the relation of cross-cultural adaptation and cross-cultural management,and the influential factors in cross-cultural adaptation.The results of the study reveals that the cultural differences between the two sides in Indonesian Bauing Group has caused the existence of culture conflicts.Secondly,the Chinese expatriates to Indonesian Bauing Group are facing cross-cultural adaptation problems.Cross-cultural adaptation has a positive correlation with the work performance of employees,which affects the cross-cultural management of the company.Among the influential factors in sociocultural adaptation,the main influencing factors of Chinese expatriates in Indonesian Bauing Group are religion,values,social etiquette,and work environment.Among the influential factors in psychological adaptation,the main influential factors are adjustment to the new environment and the contact with local people.Finally,this thesis advances some useful suggestions to better help Chinese expatriates to Indonesian Bauing Group to achieve culture adaptation and to help Indonesian Bauing Group improve cross-cultural management.What is more,some limitations of this thesis are also presented.
