| The complex natural ecological environment and rapid urbanization leads to a sharp contradiction between people and land.Located in the center of the Three Gorges Reservoir Region and as the economic center in the upper reaches of Yangtze River,Wanzhou District,Chongqing City shoulders multiple pressure from protecting cultivated land,meeting city and rural construction land needs as well as preserving the ecological environment.Scientific evaluation on the farmland consolidation potential acts the foundation of the farmland consolidation work.The evaluation results are of great significance for rationally planning the farmland consolidation programs,selecting key project footholds,improving the effect of farmland consolidation and solving the contradiction between development and land protection,etc.The study evaluates the consolidation potential of farmland in Wanzhou District which presents typical geomorphic feature of the Three Gorges Reservoir Region.Software used include ArcGIS,SPSS,Fragtats,origin,etc.and methods adopted include grey relational model,descriptive statistical analysis,ArcGIS spatial analysis,correlation analysis,etc.The purpose is to reveal the consolidation potential and spatial distribution heterogeneity of farmland in the study area,and on the basis above,the overall evaluation results of consolidation potential are studied by grade and division to explore the utilization and development directions of farmland consolidation potential in different regions.The main conclusions are as follows.(1)According to the descriptive statistical analysis on the potential evaluation results,the consolidation potential of farmland in Wanzhou District is large and uneven on the whole.According to the grey relational analysis on the evaluation result,the consolidation potential of farmland here is greatly impacted by the traditional farmlandconsolidation factors.The spatial expansion capacity acts as the largest factor to influence the consolidation potential of farmland.(2)Based on the overall spatial autocorrelation analysis,the Moran's I is 0.092,indicating a positive spatial autocorrelation about the consolidation potential of farmland in Wanzhou District.Yet the autocorrelation degree is low and the agglomeration degree is not high.The partial spatial autocorrelation analysis reflects that the farmland consolidation potential exhibits an obvious spatial heterogeneity: H-H(High-High)aggregation strips are mostly distributed in low mountainous areas and there are mainly three aggregation strips: west aggregation strip,southeast aggregation strip and northwest aggregation strip;the L-L(Low-Low)aggregation zone is located in the Qiyao Mountain area and presents a northeast-southwest topography,unsuitable for conducting land consolidation activities;H-L(High-Low)aggregation zone has many evaluation units,yet these units are dispersedly distributed around the H-H aggregation zone;L-H(Low-High)aggregation zone is located in Zhongshan District and is within the ecology redline of Wanzhou District,thus it is unsuitable for conducting consolidation activities.(3)The spatial interpolation analysis of farmland consolidation potential shows that there is an obvious variability in the spatial form and direction of the farmland consolidation potential in this area.As for the spatial form,the H aggregation zone presents a distribution mode of “one center-one cluster”.The western H aggregation zone takes Xiangshui County as the core and eastern H aggregation zone presents a clustered distribution centering on Baitu Town and Longju Town.The spatial structure is the typical “core-surrounding” structure,with consolidation potential diffusing outwards taking H aggregation zone as core.Meanwhile,there is an obvious negative relation between the consolidation potential and the spatial structure factor.The potential value mutates in area with large terrain fluctuation and deep surface incision.In horizontal direction,potential values present a “High-Low-High” distribution pattern along east-west direction and a “Low” distribution pattern along south-north direction.In the vertical direction,potential value is negatively related with the elevation.The higher the elevation is,the smaller the potential will be.(4)The potential evaluation results are divided into five levels,marked by I,II,III,IV,and V.The descriptive statistical analysis is conducted.Results show that the dispersion degree of interior potential index is the highest in the IV area and the lowestin the II area.After comparison,the potential appears unbalanced within the potential zone and between different potential zones.Thereinto,III and V potential zones see the strongest unbalance.(5)Based on the cluster analysis,the study area is divided into five consolidation areas taking the evaluation unit as the minimum scale,namely,western low mountain and hill area,eastern middle-lower mountain ecological constraint area,north central flatland area,southeast hill and valley area and Yangtze River terrace area.Also,consolidation directions are put forward according to the actual situation in local area. |
