Innovation and expansion of retail business is the strategic transformation decision made by commercial banks,which is based on market and competition demands in order to adapt the deepening development of market economy.Compared to the traditional wholesale business,the retail business needs to carry out the concept of market supremacy and customer supremacy as a priority,and always focus on customer needs.The transformation of retail business in China's commercial banks is a complex and systematic project,it is necessary to combine the advanced theory,learn from the experience of similar banks at home and abroad,analyze the actual problems carefully,and aim at the design countermeasures,then helping the development of retail business in business banks of China.Based on the development situation,this paper attempts to explore the transformation strategy of retail business in Wuhan branch of XX bank based on the theory of business management.By analyzing the data of XX bank Wuhan branch in recent years,it can be seen that under the guidance of the "4-3-3 strategy" of general bank,its retail business has been improved.But there are still some problems such as lack of "customer centered" concept,lack of product innovation,sales mode,scientific distribution and lack of development of customer resources and so on.Using further case analysis,it can be found that the core reason of these problems is that XX bank Wuhan branch has not fully understood the transformation strategy of retail business and has not seized the characteristics of regional market accurately.Therefore,the strategy design of transformation is lack of systematic,scientific and effectiveness.The paper holds that in order to achieve the transformation on retail business,xx bank Wuhan branch should start with a comprehensive understanding of retail business and implement the concept of "big retailing" on the basis of implementing the "4-3-3" strategy of the general bank.Secondly,carry out hierarchical maintenance strategy and different marketing strategies for different customers under "customer centered" concept.Thirdly,XXbank Wuhan branch needs to enhance the innovation ability,develop products by using portfolio strategy,strengthen personalized product development on the basis of dealing with core products.In addition,many kinds of marketing method should be adopted to strengthen the brand building.Finally,XX bank Wuhan branch should strengthen the bank outlets construction process both in the reality and visually to create a rational distribution with local characteristics.Besides starting from the aspects of customers,products,marketing,and outlets construction,in order to really achieve successful transformation,XX bank Wuhan branch need to implement the necessary safeguards so as to change the current development and realize the upgrading of retail business.
