The Analysis Of The Overseas Merger And Acquisition Of Commercial Banks

The continuous development of financial globalization has made overseas mergers and acquisitions an important way for commercial banks in various countries to expand their development space.At the same time,The “One Belt and One Road” initiative of China and the internationalization of RMB have provided a rare opportunity for commercial banks of China to acquire overseas assets.With the continuous strengthening of the capital strength of commercial banks of China,commercial banks of China are actively expanding their overseas businesses and studying commercial banks' overseas mergers and acquisitions is still of great significance.Based on the problems existing in overseas mergers and acquisitions of commercial banks of China,this article attempts to summarize the ICBC overseas M&A practice experience from ICBC's overseas M&A series of cases and provides reference for the overseas M&A of commercial banks.Firstly,this article analyzes the status quo of commercial banks' overseas mergers and acquisitions,including the development of overseas mergers and acquisitions by commercial banks in China,their development characteristics,current problems,and the challenges they face under the new circumstances.After that,it analyzes the status quo of ICBC's overseas mergers and acquisitions,and analyzes the impact of overseas mergers and acquisitions on ICBC through profitability analysis and internationalization index analysis,and obtains ICBC's overseas M&A experience.Finally,it is a solution to the problem.Based on the above case studies,combined with the overall situation of overseas mergers and acquisitions by Chinese-funded banking industry,the problems existing in overseas mergers and acquisitions of China's banking industry are summarized from point to point and relevant enlightenments are drawn.The long-term development of M&A offers advice and suggestions.
