Research On The Impact Of Open Innovation On Technological Innovation Capability Of Resource-based Enterprises

Since the reform and opening,resource-based enterprises have achieved rapid expansion and made tremendous contributions to the development of the national economy,with the accelerating pace of China's industrialization process.However,with the increasingly exhaustion of resources,the increasingly serious environmental pollution and the "new normal" of the national economic development,traditional development models in which resource-based companies grow by using resource advantages are challenged.Faced with the constraints of over-consumption of resources,sluggish markets,and environmental carrying capacity,technological innovation has become a driving force for the sustainable growth of resource-based enterprises.However,due to the weak foundation of innovation of resource-based companies,enterprises need to exchange and cooperate with external innovation partners and make up for innovation gaps through open innovation to enhance their technological innovation capabilities.Open innovation provides a way to enhance the technological innovation capability of enterprises.In the cooperation process,the innovation subjects will naturally be affected by the external innovation environment.Therefore,in order to achieve sustainable growth,exploring the relationship between the innovation environment,open innovation,and the enterprise's technological innovation capability is necessary to find the path for upgrading technological innovation capability of resource-based enterprises.Therefore,based on the review of relevant literature and basic theory,the development status of resource-based enterprises,relevant hypotheses and research models are constructed.The paper has selected listed companies of resource-based enterprises in A-share market of Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2016 as the sample and has studied the relationship between innovation environment,open innovation and technological innovation capability of the enterprises.Regression results by Stata14.0 show that:(1)Open innovation can effectively enhance the technological innovation capability of resource-based enterprises,but it cannot effectively improve the product innovation capability of resource-based enterprises;(2)A good environment for innovation can effectively improve the technological and product innovation capabilities of resource-based companies;(3)The combination of creating a good environment for innovation and open innovation,that is,matching the external environment with internal decision-making,can effectively enhance the ability of resource-based companies to develop their processes and products.Finally,based on the conclusions of this study,based on the two aspects of the enterprise and the government,the relevant policy suggestions are put forward around the open innovation and innovation environment,with a view to promoting the sustainable growth of resource-based enterprises.
