| Laos coffee is an important agricultural product exported from Laos agricultural products.In 2010,it became Laos' s most exported agricultural product to foreign countries.In the international coffee trade market,the coffee produced in Laos is known to the international community due to its mellow body and rich taste.However,as Laos continues to export coffee to the international community,the trade contradiction between exports of coffee from Laos has gradually increased.While China,Vietnam,and Europe have great market demand for coffee,Laos' s existing coffee has not been effectively exported to these countries and has a lot of room for export.Studying the status quo and countermeasures of Laos coffee exports will help promote the export of coffee from Laos,which is particularly important.This paper firstly defines the research background and significance of coffee export in Laos,starts the research dynamics of various scholars at home and abroad so far,and comprehensively analyzes the theory of comparative advantage,mutual demand,factor endowment,and national competition theory.Again,through a large amount of data analysis,it has been concluded that the total coffee production in Laos has increased rapidly since 1980,and that the export amount has been growing at a very early stage,the export amount has been growing rapidly in the early period,and there has been rapid growth in the later period.There is a large fluctuation;the export is mostly primary The coffee beans are mainly medium-grained;the export markets are mainly in Vietnam,China,Germany,Poland and other countries,among which Vietnam,China and other countries are "Belt and Road" countries.At the same time,SWOT analysis was conducted on coffee exports from Laos.Laos coffee has the advantages of low planting costs,good growing environment,and high taste quality.However,there are problems such as unbalanced export structure,imperfect export policies,and low international market share;Although coffee exports have the opportunity to expand Laos' coffee export trade volume and strengthen thecomplementary advantages of coffee trade with other countries,they face the market competition pressures in Vietnam and other countries and are limited by the challenges of the overall development level of the Southeast Asian region.Finally,this article proposes to seize the “One Belt and One Road” opportunity to expand the Laos coffee export trade;increase the added value of coffee,optimize the coffee export structure;increase the investment in science and technology to enhance the competitiveness of coffee;optimize the international market strategy of coffee and other countermeasures Can promote the development of coffee export trade in Laos. |
