This paper studies the Global Value Chain(GVC)promoted by "China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor",one of the six economic corridors in the "One Belt and One Road" strategy. It compares China with Indochina Peninsula countries and applies the KPWW method of Koopman et al.(2010).Using the GVC index,China-Indo-China Peninsula countries participated in the global value chain and the status of international division of labor and trade from the perspective of value appreciation based on the TiVA data released by the OECD and WTO.First,we reviewed the relevant documents of the China-Indo-China Peninsula Economic Corridor and the global value chain and industrial upgrading.Second,we elaborated on the relevant theories of the global value chain, international division of labor, and foreign direct investment;again, using the GVC index and trade. The added value measures the status of the China-Indochina Peninsula manufacturing industry participation in the global value chain from both the national and industrial perspectives, and analyzes the influencing factors. Finally, based on the China-Indochina study,China's global value chain The upgrade carried out empirical research and effect analysis. The results show that: from a national perspective,China's trade interests are higher than those in the Indo-Nanbian Peninsula;from the industry level,China's knowledge-intensive industries are more competitive in the global value chain than capital technologies compared to the Indochina Peninsula. And labor-intensive industries, but in the manufacturing industry,China's participation in the global value chain is relatively weak. Therefore, this paper proposes countermeasures and suggestions on the status quo of China's participation in the global value chain from the aspects of regional economic cooperation, technological level and innovation, and makes certain theoretical contributions to the better development of the “China-Indochina Peninsula Economic Corridor”.
