| Establishing distribution centre is the main way for chain supermarkets to realize the commodity distribution.The comprehensive distribution centre is the basis of chain supermarkets to realize success,and it is the guarantee of core competence for supermarkets.The development and extension of chain supermarket directly motivates the development of logistics distribution centre.In this situation,different chain supermarket brands have dedicated in the establishment of logistics distribution centre.In this case,to Chinese local chain supermarket companies,one of key issues is how to choose appropriate logistics distribution centre fitting with their actual conditions.Zhongbai Group is a large chain store company in commodity retail industry.It is the largest chain supermarket with largest number of stores in the Middle and West area of China.Also,it is one of the national 20 large circulation companies that are specially cultivated by the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China.Based on analysing the overall condition,distribution procedure and features,strengths and weaknesses of the logistics distribution of Zhongbai Group,this research finds that the Group's logistics distribution mode is not effective and the distribution system is old somewhat.Therefore,this research takes Zhongbai Group as the case,to analyse and optimize the logistics distribution mode of chain store retailers' business.Research outcomes shall be meaningful to inspire how to optimize the logistics distribution of Chinese local chain store supermarkets.This research firstly analyses relevant theories about project management,chain supermarket and logistics distribution.And then it analyses the current situation and features of logistics distribution mode of Zhongbai Group.It identifies the problems in the distribution mode and the challenges brought to the Group's development.Besides,this research proposes optimization strategies for the logistics distribution mode of Zhongbai Group.Based on these analyses,key research conclusions are:Firstly,the project management of logistics distribution mode of the Group shall consider increasing the self-logistics distribution centre,establishing logistics strategic alliance in Wuhan,and promoting the information management of logistics distribution.Secondly,using the Grey Relational Analysis,this research establishes the location model of logistics distribution centre of the Group,and argues that it shall consider establishing logistics distribution centre in two cities: Xiangyang and Jingzhou.An initial evaluation to the optimization model has shown that the optimized model will significantly improve the logistics distribution efficiency of the Group,in terms of enhancing the logistics distribution capacity,reducing the logistics distribution costs and store shortage rate and increasing the stock turnover rate.Finally,in order to guarantee the success of optimization of logistics distribution model,the Group shall pay attention to optimize the organisational structure and management,reinforce the capital supply and logistics supply chain management,push informationalization and technological development,and pay attention to talent cultivation management. |
