The development and transformation of Internet technology have pushed the group wisdom and the power of crowd participation to a new height.Whether in the national strategic level "mass entrepreneurship and innovation" or business strategy level"crowdsourcing,crowdfunding" or social life level "public comment",we are always digging the public's contribution and creativity.In this context,the new ideas of scientific crowdsourcing under the Internet environment of citizen science have been widely concerned by researchers.In the past,citizen science projects were mainly used in the fields of natural science,such as environmental science,ecology,zoology,and astronomical meteorology.In recent years,with the rise of research in the field of Digital Humanities,more and more scholars have realized the necessity of introducing citizen science projects into Digital Humanities domain.China is a long history of ancient civilization,the protection,spread and development of cultural heritage in the digital environment is the issue that needs immediate attention,however,in this process,the power of single institutions highlights many limitations,so it is more realistic to the urgent need of the citizen science projects the implementation of However,in the implementation process,how to motivate the public and how to mobilize the enthusiasm and sustainability of volunteers are the key factors and basic issues.Based on the background above,this study takes the Digital Humanities citizen science project as the research object,aiming at the insufficient motivation of public participation in the cold start stage and the lack of motivation for public participation in the continuous development stage.The main contents of this paper are as follows:First,a systematically literature review is conducted with the concept,origin,evolution,development and research hotspots of Citizen Science and Digital Humanities,and based on that,the related researches of citizen science within the digital humanities domain are sorted out.Second,based on the Technology Acceptance theory,Self-Determination Theory and S-O-R Theory,the paper integrates the three dimensions of platform,task and volunteer to build an integrated model of public participation motivation in the citizen science projects within Digital Humanities based on literature review and case analysis.Third,based on motivation integration model,through the method of focus group interviews we construct an empirical model of the public participation motivation in the cold start stage and put forward the hypothesis,designing questionnaire drawing on the existing questionnaire to collect relevant data,using SEM to test hypotheses,and puts forward the incentive strategy according to the results of the study.Fourth,select the first large-scale citizen science project in the cultural heritage domain in China--Transcribe Sheng as the case background,semi-structured interview for project volunteers,4 main categories involving 14 categories 32 initial concepts list by the Grounded Theory analysis.Then we construct the motivation theory model in the stage of sustainable development and put forward the incentive strategy according to the results of the study. |
