A Study About The Effect Of Confucian Value On Employee Pro-social Rule Breaking Behavior

As an important force to restrain the employees of enterprises,the rule is concerned by the leaders and scholars.For a long time,violating the rule is taken as work deviation and considered to be destructive or selfish.However,with the rise of positive organization behavior,positive deviance is paid more attention.The behavior that violating organizational rules is prosocial is positive deviance.In 2006,Morrison put forward a more specific concept of positive deviance: PSRB,a behavior that employees consciously violate the formal organization policies,regulations or prohibitions in order to help stakeholders of an organization or organization.And PSRB is divided into three categories: improve work efficiency;help colleagues;serve customers.When the rules are conflict with the prosocial behavior,employees may go against the rules.Cultural value is the key factor to shape employees' attitudes and behaviors.Therefore,this paper is based on the theory of value and behavior consistency to explore the mechanism of Confucian culture value on PSRB and investigate the role of empathy,moral efficacy and moral courage in it.Before carrying out the above research,this paper supplementes and the former Confucian value scale.According to the classification of secular Confucian value and elite Confucian value,we sort out the scale that could reflect the two meanings,and test their reliability and validity.Based on the survey data of 284 employees,We discuss these questions: the main effects of secular Confucian value,elite Confucian value on PSRB;the relation of secular Confucian and PSRB is whether mediated by empathy and moral courage;the relation of elite Confucian and PSRB is whether mediated by moral efficacy and moral courage.The results show that: the secular Confucian value,elite Confucian value is an important part of Confucian value,but they are not opposite,but interrelated and interdependent and can coexist in the same person;both the secular Confucian value and elite Confucian value can promote the PSRB,but the effect path is different;empathy and moral courage can mediate the relation between secular Confucian value and PSRB,moral courage can function alone and also play a role through empathy;moral efficacy,moral courage plays a mediating role between the elite Confucian value and PSRB.
