Potato is the most advantageous agricultural crop in Gansu Province,and it is also one of the important economic crops and agricultural specialties.It plays a decisive role in the province's agricultural economy.In recent years,the potato industry has achieved long-term development under the support of government policy dividends.At the same time,it has gradually exposed some problems in the development of the industry.These problems have to some extent hindered the further development of the potato industry.Therefore,the potato industry urgently needs industrial upgrading.E-commerce simplifies product circulation procedures,expands product sales channels,and changes the traditional trade model.At present,it has become the main way for market participants to conduct trade communication.The integration of e-commerce and traditional industries can expand the market share of products,increase the brand effect of products,and promote the optimization and upgrading of traditional industries.This paper mainly studies the path of upgrading potato industry in Gansu Province from the perspective of e-commerce.The analysis of the status quo of the potato industry found that while the potato industry has obtained certain development results,there are also exist some phenomena such as the sown area,yield per unit area,commodity volume and market share,etc.,which have shown a downward trend.Finding thereason why these indicators shows a downward trend.Policy support,the popularity of the Internet,the growth of online shopping and the development of logistics can reduce the cost of potato and expand the size of potato sales,thus illustrating the feasibility of e-commerce in promoting the upgrading of the potato industry,and whether e-commerce really promotes the upgrading of the potato industry and to what extent the effect has changed.The fifth part of the article first uses the cost curve model to explain that e-commerce reduces the production costs of enterprises,from the normative analysis point of view,thus illustrating the necessity of e-commerce to promote the upgrading of the potato industry;secondly,using simulation models to quantify electronics business promotes changes in the effects of the potato industry from the perspective of empirical analysis.Based on the empirical analysis of the fifth part,the sixth part of the article proposes to strengthen awareness of e-commerce services,improve the level of logistics integration,establish warehouse processing areas and train e-commerce talents etc.Upgrade path.
