With the decline of natural villages in the process of urbanization and the rise of rural communities, under the background that the state has increased investment in rural infrastructure and living environment, the new rural communities formed by the original villages through the transformation of old villages or the relocation of villages have emerged.Came into being. The construction of new rural communities is mainly aimed at improving the efficiency of land use and improving the living standards of farmers. The gap between urban and rural areas has been continuously narrowed, and rural urbanization, agricultural modernization, and citizenization of farmers have been promoted. As a new type of rural community that connects with urban communities,it is an important place for farmers to transform themselves into citizens. The construction of a new type of rural community is of great significance in the process of community urbanization and the peasants' citizenship. We cannot simply regard the new rural community as a part of rural society. We should take note of the changes that will occur in the status of peasants, and more active measures should be taken to reduce the inadaptability of farmers after they leave the land.In order to make the peasants live happier and get the same life experience as the citizens. This research selects 160 households from two new rural communities in Weihui City,Henan Province,as a sample of the study, involving 785 people. In order to understand the most realistic and detailed situation, this paper designed a survey questionnaire on the adaptation of the new rural community residents and adopted a combination of random sampling and individual interviews in the two communities to obtain real conditions.Separately analyze the current situation of residents' adaptation from the level of economic life, system, and concept. This research analyzes the causes of the residents' non-adaptability from three perspectives: macro, meso, and micro.Analysis from the macro perspective: spatial migration and change;the pattern of differential order in rural China;and the lag caused by “cultural gap”.From the perspective of meso-analysis: imbalances caused by economic changes;lack of implementation of government policies;transformation of strong and weak relationships has not been completed. From the micro perspective: The community management mechanism is not in place;the residents' own internal and external factors limit.Based on the research conclusions, the following suggestions are made: First, providing equal-valued public services.Second, improve human capital investmen.Third, build a social security system.Fourth, establish a community support system.Fifth, strengthen farmers' self-directed learning.
