There is a close relationship between city image and its synthesized competitiveness social development.The promotion of city image is of great significance for accelerating urban construction,improving the quality of life and inheriting the cultural spirit.Based on questionnaire of cognition of city image,people's cognition and experience upon city image were summarized.The major influencing factors of city image promotion will be concluded according to the level of cognition at the micro level.The paper evaluated the level of people's cognition in "sweet warm spring" of Xianning City.The characteristics about city image were analyzed from material and spiritual angle,such as natural resources,regional cultural and location traffic.The advantages and problems were summarized by SWOT analysis.The evaluation indexes include urban construction and culture.The major factors were recognized by factor analysis and BP neutral network.It is economic development and culture of the city image,but also involves social economic and cultural development of basic building services systems.So,the paper evaluated the urban material construction and traditional culture spirit.The city image in the general level accounted for 44.5%of the total,the number of basic level accounted for 32.7%of the total number,the better level accounted for 22.7%of the total number used the factor analysis.The weight of indexes which affects the city image were sorted by BP neural network.The most important factors that affect the level of city image is governmental efficiency,followed by settlement,cultural popularization,night scene,media,history,travel,live,et al.Governmental efficiency and cultural popularization belong to soft environment,and night scene and history belong to hardware,and settlement and media belong to general image.Overall,the strategies of promotion city image were put forward.
