Voice is important for the development of organization.By drawing attention to problems and opportunities in work practices,voice can facilitate continuous process improvement,prevent mistakes or errors,and improve organizational performance and management efficiency.Although voice can bring potential benefits to the organization,it can be potential risk for the employees to engage in it.Voice involves challenging the status quo and bringing to light practices that are not functioning well at the workplace.Hence,not all employees are willing to voice,the research on the influence mechanism of voice behavior is very valuable.In this context,this research tries to explore the mechanism underlying the relationship between workplace gossip and employee voice behavior from the perspective of abusive supervision.In this study,435 full-time employees were selected from Enterprises.This research mainly adopts situational method and questionnaire survey to analyze the relationship among workplace gossip,voice trait,voice efficacy and voice behavior.This research consists of two sub studies,using correlation analysis,t test,regression analysis,and the Bootstrap test statistical methods to analyze the data,the results revealed:Firstly,the interaction between workplace gossip and voice trait has significant influence on the individual voice behavior.Employees who have high voice trait have a higher voice behavior than those do not do it when they hear workplace gossip of other people.While the lower ones have a lower voice behavior than those who do not hear it when they hear it.Secondly,the interaction between workplace gossip and voice trait has significant predicted on the individual voice efficacy.Thirdly,the interaction between workplace gossip and voice trait affects the individual voice behavior which completely goes through the mediating effect of voice efficacy.
