The adjustment and upgrading of the foreign trade structure not only plays an important role in improving the national interests of a country in international trade, but also plays an important role in the upgrading of a country's industrial structure.China and India are the two largest developing countries in the world, the development of foreign trade plays an important role in the development of two countries, and the industrial structure and trade structure is crucial for the development of the national economy, the relationship between the two are inseparable, therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the relationship between the foreign trade structure and the industrial structure of the two countriesThis paper studies the relationship between China and India's foreign trade structure and industrial structure, and compares them. The main content is divided into three parts:the first part is the review of related theory and literature review, reviewing relevant theory of upgrading of foreign trade structure and industrial structure and domestic paper about relationship between foreign trade structure and industrial structure, this part is the theoretical basis of this study, provides a theoretical basis for empirical analysis between foreign trade structure and industrial structure. The second part is the main body of this article.First, analyzing the evolution process of China and India's foreign trade structure and industrial structure, based on which, the similarities and differences between the two countries' trade structure and industrial structure change are compared.Secondly, using the semi logarithmic model to investigate China and India's foreign trade structure effects on the structure of the three industries, including advanced and reasonable industrial structure, and compares their empirical results. The third part is the conclusion and the countermeasures and suggestions.Based on the empirical analysis, the following conclusions are drawn:China's primary goods import and export trade promotes the development of the second industry, restraining the development of the third industry, and the import and export trade of manufactured goods promotes the development of the third industry and inhibits the development of the second industry. In China's manufacturing industry occupies the leading position of the national conditions, the import and export of manufactured goods to increase the proportion of the third industry in the national economy, reduce the proportion of the second industry, promote the upgrading of the industrial structure and the primary products import and export development;promote the development of the second industry, inhibiting the development of the third industry is not conducive to industrial upgrading process.China's import and export trade has no significant impact on the development of the rationalization of industrial structure. The impact of India's import and export trade on industrial development is weak. The empirical results show that trade has no significant impact on the industrialization of India and the process of rationalization.
