Research On The Relationship Between Industrial Agglomeration And New Urbanization In China

The construction of China's industrial development and new urbanization has entered a crucial period along with our country "The Belt and Road" strategy promoted,the national new urbanization plan(2014-2020)and “China Manufacturing 2025” released ang implemented,the research on the relationship between the industrial agglomeration of manufacturing industry and the new urbanization is particularly important.In this paper,based on the data of China's manufacturing industry and the new urbanization based in 2003~2015,we create the manufacturing industry concentration index,namely E-G index,including the construction of a number of enterprises and the number of employees and the evaluation index of new urbanization including economic development,urban population,urban and rural and city construction of the 24 indicators,and empirically study the development relationship between of China's manufacturing industrial agglomeration and urbanization by using of P-VAR model.In addition,we also conduct granger causality test and the analysis of impulse response and prediction error variance decomposition.The results show that: According to the panel VAR model estimation and granger causality test,the promoting effect on manufacturing industry agglomeration to new urbanization is greater than the feedback effect of new urbanization to manufacturing industry agglomeration;According to the analysis of impulse response and prediction error variance decomposition,the promoting effect is long-standing and significant on agglomeration on manufacturing industry agglomeration to new urbanization and China's manufacturing industry(the number of the forecast period is10 period),while feedback effect of new urbanization to manufacturing industry agglomeration is not long-term existence and significant.For a long time,the development of China's urbanization in addition is relying on the support of relevant national policy,more is relying on the transfer of population by transformation and upgrading of the industrial and improvement of the relevant policies of land,housing and social security.So,in two the interactive development manufacturing industry agglomeration is the role of stimulation and promotion.But in the process,the town appeared such as congestion and waste of resources and environmental pollution problems,the development of new urbanization needs long time self-perfection,thus boosting effect on the manufacturing industry agglomeration is not significant.The conclusions of this paper can provide a reference for the theoretical and empirical research on the relationship between manufacturing industry agglomeration and new urbanization in China,and also provide policy reference for the development of China's manufacturing industry agglomeration and new urbanization.
