The Influence Of Technology Merger And Acquisition On Enterprise Innovation Output

Our century is marked by high-speed and globalization,businesses are required to be able to execute strategic steps to enhance their competitive advantages.A full competitive advantage can be seen from the prospect of innovation output.One of the methods commonly adopted by organization is merger and acquisitions(M&A?s).Research evidence has long recognized the important of technological acquisition in a firm?s innovation performance.In recent history there has been a consistent growth in merger and acquisition activity on a worldwide level,thus providing relevance to this research idea.Between 2005 and 2017 the total number of M&A transactions on the worldwide level grew 40%.The author conducted extensive research both on literary review and data analysis,looking at Chinese public companies that engaged into a technological merger and acquisition activity in the period of 2009-2011.From there,analyzing the innovation output of the organization both before and after the merger.The research time span is over a period of 10 years,from 2005 to 2015.This paper aims to review existing literature and conduct an analysis,thus providing further findings on the effect on innovation that technological mergers and acquisitions have.
