The transition of urban and rural residential area is the inevitable process of the economic factor flow and structure reorganization of urban and rural society.At present,promoting urban-rural integration and urban and rural system optimization is the core task of urban and rural land management,and is a critical period for the transformation of urban and rural residential areas.Urban and rural residential land for urban and rural population is concentrated place for living and production,is the area of natural system,economic system and the system of combination of the space vector,develop urban and rural residential land use transition research for the development of urban and rural land use and land use transition theory to optimize regulation has important theoretical and realistic significance.This study in order to optimize the urban and rural land management,and promote the development of urban and rural integration for a common background,based on land use transition theory,integrated with such fields as science,geography,land resources management,using comprehensive analysis method,from the perspective of space and function to explore Youyi county urban and rural residential land use transformation process,identify transformation mechanism.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)the evolution of the land transformation space of urban and rural residential areas in Youyi county mainly presents the spatial and temporal changes of scale,structure,distribution,morphology and hierarchy.From 1954 to 1976,the total size and number of land used in the urban and rural residential areas in Youyi counties increased rapidly,with the growth of rural residential areas increasing significantly and the average size was smaller.The distribution of land in urban and rural residential areas is shifted from agglomeration to evenness.The form of residential area is relatively simple,the hierarchical system is developed from level 2 to level 3,and the village level residential area gradually occupies a dominant position in the urban and rural system.Between 1976 and 1996,the size of urban and rural residential areas increased in size and the average size increased;The land distribution of urban and rural residential areas is more evenly distributed,and the form of residential areas tends to be more complex.The three-level structure of urban and rural residential areas is relatively stable,but the dominant status of the village level is weakened,and the function of the county residential area is gradually strengthened.Between 1996 and 2015,the total size and quantity of land used for urban and rural residential areas decreased,in which the size of rural residential areas decreased significantly,and the size of urban residential areas continued to increase.The urban and rural residential areas are evenly distributed and the morphology tends to be stable.The level system of residential area is changed from level 3 to level 2,and the land use of village-level residential area is weakened continuously.(2)the function of urban and rural residential area is rich in connotation and characterization,and the function of urban and rural residential areas in different stages of development shows diversity with the demand of urban and rural residents.Youyi county was founded in the early in the relatively backward productivity level and material and cultural needs of background,the people most of the time used for agricultural production,farming radius must be controlled in a smaller range.At that time,the functional demand of urban and rural settlements was mainly residential,and the construction and layout of residential areas were centered on the service of agricultural production.With the development of agricultural productivity,mechanization level of ascension,unit land need to quickly reduce the labor force,people used for agricultural production time also gradually shortened,more and more people turn to secondary and tertiary industries,are still engaged in agricultural production and delelopment of farm worker to be engaged in other production and business operation activities.As a result,people demand for urban and rural residential function is no longer limited to the living,expand the function of non-agricultural production and other functions such as education,health care function of urban and rural residential areas from oneness to diversity.(3)The urban and rural residential area of Youyi county deducts the dominant period of rural development(1954~1976),the period between urban and rural development(1976 ~ 1996),and the three transitional periods(1996~2015).Among them,the stage of the development of the expansion phase is the dominant period of the rural development,and the development phase of the extension is the period of development of the urban and rural areas,the development state to the mature stage and the remediation period for the city into the countryside.(4)In the county urban and rural residential land use transition space of Youyi and function based on the analysis of the evolution process,points out that the dynamic mechanism of urban and rural residential land use transformation including the transformation of social and economic development,agricultural modernization progress,the construction of infrastructure and policy guide and so on.This study argues that social and economic transformation is an important driving force.Agricultural modernization is the basic driving force.Infrastructure construction is the driving force,and policy guidance is the guiding force.
