After the reform and opening up,the rapid development of private enterprises in China has given them a great deal of attention.The economic and social contribution of private enterprises cannot be ignored.Some of the strong private enterprises such as Haier,Huawei,Lenovo,etc.,have established strategic coverage of the global market after the domestic market matured,while other emerging private enterprises such as Xiaomi have started international entrepreneur ship soon after their establishment.In the complicated international political and economic environment,the problems that private enterprises need to face in conducting international entrepreneurship are often complex and arduous.Compared with large-scale state-owned enterprises and well-established private enterprises,Xiaomi has succeeded in occupying a place in China as an emerging private enterprise in recent years with its light-asset model dominated by Internet thinking.Xiaomi began to explore the international market after its successful domestic operation,in overseas target markets.In terms of market access measures,Xiaomi also shifted from a single export to cooperation with local distributors to achieve localized investment in the production and processing of plants.The same is true of the selection of emerging developing countries with large populations such as India,Myanmar,and Indonesia.Xiaomi's overseas success is frequent.The rapid progress of Xiaomi's international entrepreneurship process is shocking.This paper combines entrepreneurial cognitive theory and resource-based theories of international entrepreneurship theory,and summarizes and collates domestic and foreign related literature.It selects Xiaomi Science and Technology Corporation as the research object,and conducts motivations for international entrepreneurship,problems in the early days of international entrepreneurship,and uses resources.The VRIO model of the basic theory elaborates on its current core competitiveness of international entrepreneurship.Finally,based on cases,it summarizes the general issues that private enterprises in China may face when starting an international venture and proposes solutions accordingly.The paper aims to provide reference and reference for Xiaomi Company and related companies in international entrepreneurship,especially for other communications equipment manufacturers in China that have the guiding value for choosing international entrepreneurship and how to further enhance their international competitiveness.
