Research On The Influence Of The Quality Of Domestic Value Chain Division On Global Value Chain Competitiveness

In the process of global integration deepening,China has joined the global value chain division system with its low-cost labor force and abundant resources.However,due to the lack of core technological competitiveness,China has long been at the lower end of the value chain and is in the governance of the value chain captured by developed countries,cou pled with the technical blockade of developed countries,China's rise to the high end of the global value chain has often been blocked.Under such an economic situation,building a domestic value chain,consolidating the domestic base,and leveraging the high-end of the global value chain is the key option for getting out of the "dilemma of the value chain."The paper defines the concept of domestic value chain from different angles,analyzes the difference and connection between domestic value chain and gl obal value chain,and discusses the influence mechanism of domestic value chain division quality on China's global value chain competitiveness.Based on WIOD(2013)“National Input-Output Table” and “Social and Economic Account”,through improving Antràs' industry upstream indicators,the paper constructs a two-dimensional angle domestic value chain division quality index.Through the calculation of 35 industries in China with the contribution of upstream degree,this paper analyzes the status quo of China 's domestic value chain division quality,compared with three countries of the United Kingdom,the United States and Japan,analyzes the gap of China's domestic value chain division,and finds that China's domestic value chain division quality is low and showing a continuous downward trend.Using the panel data of 35 industries from 2001 to 2011,a regression model was constructed to empirically analyze th e influencing factors of the domestic value chain.The study found that the more proportion of intermediate products in the domestic products,the smaller proportion of export products in the final output,the more the assets are formed within the city capacity fixed,the more conducive to the upgrading of the domestic value chain,at present,the residents' and government consumption structures in China are not conducive to the improvement of the domestic value chain;Also,the pap er constructs global value chain competition force index and influencing factor model,empirically study the impact of the division quality of domestic value chain on China's global value chain.The study finds that the impact of the domestic value chain division quality on the global value chain competitiveness has industry heterogeneity.Industries with higher domestic value cha in division quality index can promote their competitiveness in global value chains,and Industries with a low quality index will inhibit their competitiveness in the global value chain.The impact of per capital on the competitiveness of global value chain will be in line with the domestic value chain division quality,industry labor productivity and industry concentration has a catalytic effect in promotion of competitiveness in global value chains.Based on the above findings,this paper proposes policy r ecommendations from the perspectives of establishing an economic development concept based on "domestic demand",accelerating the construction of industrial parks and science and technology parks,promoting industrial agglomeration,optimizing the innovati on environment,cultivating leading enterprises,and siphoning high-end talents.
