The Research On The Intra-industry Trade Of China-malaysia Manufactured Goods

Intra-industry trade has replaced inter-industry trade as the main source of trade patterns between countries and the main source of national trade interests.Research on intra-industry trade has gradually become a hot topic in international trade research.As the largest developing country in the world,China has a huge trade market,and after years of reform and opening up and constant industrial upgrading,intra-industry trade has been widespread in China.With the developing of regional economic integration,China and Malaysia are two important countries in the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area,having a historical tradition of trade.In recent years,economic and trade cooperation of China-Malaysia has developed more rapidly.From 2009 to 2015,Malaysia has always been China's largest trading partner in the China-ASEAN Free Trade Zone.Although Vietnam surpassed Malaysia to become China's largest trading partner in ASEAN in 2016,Malaysia remains China's largest source of imports in the region.Industrial manufactured goods occupy the main position in the overall trade between China and Malaysia.An in-depth analysis of the development,characteristics,and influencing factors of the intra-industry trade in China-Malaysia industrial products is of great practical significance.Based on the study of basic intra-industry trade theories,the first,through an overview of China-Malaysia bilateral industrial manufactured goods trade,it was found that China-Malaysia industrial products trade holds a dominant position in bilateral trade,but the trade imbalance is serious.The Second,using the GL index,Aquino index,classification indicators,and TC index to measure the level and characteristics of the intra-industry trade in manufactured goods of China-Malaysia,it was found that the intra-industry trade of China-Malaysia manufactured goods trade represented the coexistence of intra-industry trade and inter-industry trade,the level of intra-industry trade has declined,and intra-industry trade has mostly manifested itself as low-level vertical intra-industry trade.The Third,regression analysis was used to measure the influencing factors of intra-industry trade in China-Malaysia manufactured goods trade,It was found that the economic liberalization in China and Malaysia,the development of processing trade in China,and the establishment of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area have a greater impact.Finally,in summary on the basis of the foregoing research,the suggestions for promoting intra-industry trade in manufactured goods of China-Malaysia were put forward:Improving the economic openness,promote the balanced development of bilateral trade;promote the upgrading of processing trade and industrial transformation;use free trade zones to develop complementary advantages of both sides.
