As a new type of insurance,future price index insurance has attracted much attention from society since it was asked.2018 document is proposed to further promote the construction of agricultural products futures options market,the steady expansion of "insurance + future" pilot,explore the order agricultural + insurance +Future(right)pilot.This also fully illustrates that the effect of the "insurance + future" model on the management and control of the price risk of agricultural products has been fully recognized from the national level.So based full understanding of "insurance + future" mode of operation and the risk transfer mechanism,sort of "insurance + future" mode between the participating parties and interests,and combining the current situation of the development of sugar industry in Yunnan Province,to carry out the feasibility analysis in Yunnan sugar futures price index insurance,and puts forward relevant suggestions and insurance scheme.This paper mainly use the methods of literature analysis,comparative analysis and other research methods to analyze the feasibility of carrying out the sucrose futures price index insurance in Yunnan.First,the operation mechanism and the risk transfer mechanism of the insurance + futures mode are expounded,and the practical significance of this mode in agricultural development and the protection of farmers' income is expounded.Secondly,we should clarify the interest relationship between the sucrose futures price index and the insurance participants,clarify the participation force and demand among the parties,and find the balance of interests betweenfarmers,insurance companies and Futures Company.Thirdly,it introduces the experience of the pilot projects of "insurance + future" products at home and abroad.Finally,combined with the current situation of sucrose industry in Yunnan Province,the feasibility of developing future price index insurance in Yunnan province is demonstrated from the aspects of policy,target price acquisition,demand and experience reference,and relevant insurance system plan is put forward.The study found that the presence of common interests between farmers,insurance companies,Future Company,also has the possibility of cooperation;macro perspective,national and Yunnan provincial government have policy support,price index released authoritative and reliable;lack of existing sugarcane insurance coverage,security is difficult to meet the practical needs;most farmers do not understand the future and options market,reason is that access to information is single,but strong learning ability,the need to strengthen the propaganda work;the insurance company in a timely follow-up,according to the company's strategic decision-making and timely "insurance + future" project.In a comprehensive view,it is feasible to carry out the sucrose future price index insurance in Yunnan province.
