With the rapid development of our country's economy, the people's living standards have been greatly improved.Per capital income has officially entered the ranks of middle-and upper-middle-income countries. At the same time,it has also made tremendous contributions to the development of the world in terms of reducing absolute poverty. However,at the same time as the rapid economic growth, the income gap of residents in our country is increasingly widening. The serious thing is that there is a generational transmission trend in the income gap. What is more noteworthy is that the original income distribution structure of our residents is undergoing tremendous changes, making the gap between rich and poor groups of different income groups continuously widening..What are the characteristics of income generation transmission between different income groups? What is the relationship between its variation characteristics and changes in income gaps?Obviously, the answers to these questions have important practical significance for understanding and relieving the income gap in China. This study selected a large sample of micro-data from the China Family Panel Studies(CFPS),combined with research theories and achievements at home and abroad, and conducted research on the two core issues of the intergenerational transmission gap of income gap and the intergenerational pathway of income gap at the national level. The influence of income generation heterogeneity on income gap among different income groups.Based on the income decision model, the Sharpe value decomposition method is used to construct the income gap intergenerational transmission effect index. The conclusions are:(1)Although the elasticity coefficient of intergenerational income in our country has declined,it is still at a middle to upper level in the international community.(2)The generational education and occupation are the two important paths that the father's income influences the income disparity among his children. The father's income disparity is mainly "replicated" to the children through the means of his children's careers, much higher than education.(3)The contribution of the father's income to the generation's income gap in high-income families, whether directly or indirectly,is higher than that of low-income families.Based on the Logistics model to analyze the intergenerational path of income gap,the conclusions are,(1)The sons of the descendants have a higher probability of earning higher income than the children of the generation.(2)Urban children have a higher probability of earning higher income than rural children.(3)The descendants of fathers who work in private companies tend to enter middle-income levels. The descendants of fathers who work in state-owned enterprises have a higher probability of entering high-income classes.(4)There are significant differences between the income of the fathers, the human capital of the fathers, and the gender and household characteristics of the children. Therefore,it is an important measure to ease the income gap by improving the income distribution system and providing equal competition starting points and competition mechanisms for competitors.
