Since the reform and opening up,China's eastern coastal areas have taken the lead in opening up and developing,forming a group of urban agglomeration such as Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei,Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta,which has promoted the rapid development of the eastern region and become an important growth pole of the national economy.In the meantime,however,the development of the central and western regions is relatively lagging behind,an important reason is the extremely imbalance development of urbanization,for instance,the development of central and western urban was insufficient.At present,the urbanization rate of the resident population in the eastern region is 62.2%,while that in the central and western regions is only 48.5%and 44.8%respectively.With the deepening of both the development of the western region strategy and the rise of the central region strategy as well as the accelerating of the industrial transfer in the eastern coastal areas,cultivating a new growth pole by accelerating the process of urbanization in the central and western regions where have strong resource carrying capacity can promote economic growth and market space expand from east to west or from south to north.This would promote the layout of the population economy become more reasonable and the regional development become more balance.Urbanization is a strong support for regional coordinated development.With the rapid development of social economy,the new urbanization in Fujian Province has experienced a low starting point and high speed development process.The urbanization rate of population has increased from 13.7%to 62.59%.Education,medical care,culture and sports,social security and other public services in Fujian has been significantly improved.Fujian urbanization in the steady progress.However,it is noteworthy that the development of the region is not balanced,the gap between Fujian coastal areas and inland areas increased.The degree of urbanization differences among regions is too much to conducive to the coordinated development of the province and hinder the province's overall pace of building a moderately prosperous society.Therefore,it is important to deeply understand the core connotation of the new urbanization,scientifically measure and evaluate the development level of the new urbanization in various regions of Fujian Province,and to explore the driving mechanism of the new urbanization in various regions,which is of great practical significance to promote the smooth transformation of economy and social progress.In view of this,this paper introduces the corresponding research background and significance,the research status quote at home and abroad,research methods and writing structures and related theoretical basis;Secondly,based on the connotation of the definition of the new urbanization,this article explored five subsystems which are population urbanization,economic urbanization of life,green urbanization and urban-rural integration.Starting from the five subsystems,analyzing the current status of the new urbanization in all regions of Fujian by using detailed chart data,fully summarized the existing characteristics and development trend of the new urbanization in different regions in Fujian,explored the weaknesses of urbanization in Fujian Province and discussed,from four aspects,the possible reasons which can lead to the difference of the new urbanization level in different areas.Thirdly,this paper uses the analytic hierarchy process to establish a set of the new urbanization evaluation system,which is used to quantitatively study the degree of development of new urbanization in different regions and compare the degree of development difference among all regions.Then,the principal component analysis is used to determine the driving factors that affect the new urbanization in different regions,then validated the affection level it made on the new urbanization by using measurement method;Finally,on the basis of previous research paper,this paper provided the corresponding suggestions about urbanization spatial distribution of unreasonable and lack of people-oriented issues for the relevant departments in the decision-making process.
