Research On Project Management Of New Product Introduction Of H Company

Taken H Company's server boards NPI(new product introduction)management as background,this paper aims to find out the factors that affect the process and the corresponding improvement measures by analyzing the management problems,so as to achieve or even ahead of time to complete the introduction time.The improvement will enhance the company's ability to control new products,improve quality,and accelerate the realization of new products mass production,thereby enhancing the company and customers in server industry's competitiveness.This paper analyzed the following sections.Firstly,the paper introduced server board production process and its organizational structure,production layout,new product management status to understand the company's business and environment.And then,according to different development phase,the paper further discussed the problems in NPI process,such as manpower in preparation stage,materials,equipment,fixture,production,quality management and mutual communication with customer.Through the analysis of the factors that affect the process and quality,this paper pointed out the current problems,including design and manufacturing divergence,insufficient preparation for resources and initial work,giving up quality to pursuit speed,ineffective communication with customers,low team attention and so on.Finally,through specific analysis of the identified problems to find out the solutions,including being strict in design,attaching greater importance,optimizing organizational structure,emphasizing first article inspection,strengthening customer communication management and so on.After the improvement,the whole process of NPI can be shortened by about two months,and the quality standards and customer satisfaction have been greatly improved,which lays a solid foundation for the company to earn more business for next generation.Through the in-depth study of the NPI management of H Company,coupled with project management thought and the actual verification result,the improvement measures raised in this paper can be applied to other similar electronic board's NPI management and has a good reference value in production perspective to other similar company.
