| The eighteenth Congress of the Communist Party of China proposed the implementation of the innovation-driven strategy in 2012. The 13 th Five-Year planning reports continue to emphasize the further implementation of the strategy of innovation-driven development to play a leading role in technological innovation. As an important national defense research and production base and one of the six greatly old industrial bases, Chongqing city is located at the junction of the more developed eastern region and the western resource-intensive region, the strategic position is very significant. How to accelerate the optimization, upgrading and transformation of the industrial structure, speed up the pace to the Post-industrialization stage and achieve sustainable economic growth is the focus of Chongqing's current development. This paper analyzes the problems of Chongqing's industrial structure and Empirical studys its optimization and upgrading, conversion capability and influencing factors from the perspective of innovation-driven.This paper firstly defines the connotation of industrial structure transformation and industrial structure transfer capability, finds out the main influencing factors such as demand factors, supply factors, structure factors, factors, innovation factors and sustainable factors based on previous studies, and puts forward the innovation-driven evaluation model. Secondly, analyzes Chongqing's industrialization process, the level of specialization and the change of industrial structure by using the 37 industrial sectors' s statistical data from 2001 to 2014. And then, evaluates the five central cities' industrial structure conversion ability according to the established index system by using factor analysis and comparative analysis method, and further analyzes the main influencing factors. Finally, this thesis draws some conclusions and presents some related policy recommendations.It is found that the industrial structure changes of Chongqing has been shown a general upward trend since twenty-first century, the optimization and upgrading of industrial structure has been improved; the proportion of traditional industrial department has decreased while the high-tech industrial department has increased gradually; the industrial specialization level of Chongqing has decreased, and most departments' change is mall, the efforts to improve specialization is not enough. There are significant differences on industrial structure transformation ability between the five central cities which is roughly consistent with the economic basis and Chongqing's industrial structure transfer ability is slightly lower than the national level and far less than the other four cities. And the main factors are the technological innovation capability, demand and supply, the foreign trade level and the level of environmental protection. |
