The date of important characteristics of the human body,such as height,weight,foot length,fingerprints and face,plays an important role in the management of population information and criminal identification.Traditional methods of collecting these dates require a variety of different equipment or instruments,with large workload and low efficiency which brings great difficulties to the population information collection of grass-roots units such as police stations.So,an integrated and intelligent data acquisition system is needed urgently to reduce such stress.This paper has developed a multi-functional human characteristics data collection system that integrates multiple types of sensors to achieve simultaneous measurement and collection of height,weight,foot length,fingerprints,and face.The main work of the thesis is as follows:1.The system requirements analysis and overall design were carried out.Through analyzing the needs of the multi-functional human characteristics data collection system,based on survey result,system design requirements are proposed and the main functions of the system are fixed in order to complete the overall system design of the system and define the main function of module,such as height and weight foot length acquisition module,fingerprint acquisition module,and face detection module.2.Completed the design of a multifunctional data acquisition system.The whole system consists of three parts: mechanical,hardware and software.First,the overall structure of the acquisition system is designed,including the mounting base of the load cell,and the foot length measurement structure.Then,based on the selected MCU and sensor,many measurement circuits are designed,such as the weight,foot length,height,to develop a PCB circuit board;Finally,the collection program of height,weight,foot length,face,fingerprints are designed.And a host computer software based on Lab VIEW is developed,achieving effective collection of human characteristics.3.Research on face detection and fingerprint matching algorithms.About face detection algorithm,compared with skin color segmentation algorithm,Ada Boost algorithm can effectively distinguish face areas from non-face areas with more advantages in detection of single face and multiple faces.That's why it is applied to the face detection module of the acquisition system.Also,the basic principles of fingerprint image calibration and feature point matching are analyzed.Through comparison experiments,the characteristics of different fingerprint matching methods are analyzed.The matching algorithm based on detailed feature points has better performance and is applied to fingerprint collection of the acquisition system Module.4.An experimental platform was established and data collection was verified.Based on the system's mechanical,hardware,and software design,an experimental platform was set up to collect human characteristics data,and the data was displayed on the host computer interface in real time to verify the function of the system.By analyzing the height and weight data of 200 sets,the relative errors of weight and height are 0.07% and 0.28%,respectively.Through the analysis of 100 sets of face acquisition experiments,the face detection rate is 91% under normal lighting conditions;100 sets of fingerprint collection experiment show that FRR and FAR of fingerprint matching were 3% and 4%,respectively.
