Machine-type communications(MTC)is widely deployed in the era of 5th generation mobile networks(5G).In some MTC applications, such as vehicle-to-vehicle(V2V)networks and flying ad-hoc networks(FANETs),due to the high mobility and dynamic topology, there is a strong demand for fast wireless networking to realize cooperation among these machines.Neighbor discovery,as a critical early step for wireless networking, has attracted wide attention in academia. It can be applied to several areas, such as Ad Hoc networks, wireless sensor networks(WSN)and Internet of Things(IOT).Under the background of the unmanned aerial vehicle communication(UAV)and radar and communication integrated system, this thesis focuses on the design of the neighbor discovery algorithm based on the radar-assistance and waveform integration, which significantly improves the networking efficiency.Besides, this thesis can also distinguish neighbors by processing the radar's echo, which has practical application. This thesis first analyzes the distribution of UAV nodes theoretically, then proposes a unique optimization factor of radar and four radar-assisted neighbor discovery algorithms.Simulations prove that the radar-assisted neighbor discovery algorithms can reduce the networking time by at least 42.9%,which verify the superiority of the algorithms.Next, this thesis introduces an integrated waveform based on minimum shift keying(MSK)and linear frequency modulation(LFM).The thesis obtains the Doppler speed and distance of multiple targets through simulation.By classifying the obtained radial Doppler velocity, the radar can distinguish the target property, that is,it can distinguish the UAV from the stationary target and the low-speed target. In order to judge whether a neighbor is an enemy or a friend, the thesis introduces the reconfigurable intelligent surface technology. The UAV can distinguish between the enemy and the friend by processing the encrypted echo reflected by the neighbor which equips a reflecting surface. Finally, the thesis combines the characteristics of integrated waveforms and the communication system and proposes an integrated neighbor discovery algorithm. Results show that although taking the differences of radar and communication into consideration may sacrifice the networking efficiency,it can save the spectrum and energy consumption and distinguish the enemy from the friend.Besides, compared with the algorithm without radar assistance, the networking time of the integrated algorithm still drops significantly.
