With the rapid development of modern radio technology,antennas have been widely used as equipment for receiving and transmitting electromagnetic waves.Due to the increasing expansion of its applications,the performance requirements of antenna systems in the field of wireless communications are also increasing.Because array antennas have the advantages of fast scanning and easy beam formation,they have many applications in wireless communication and radar systems.At present,array antennas have to break through at least the following key technologies: broadband scanning capabilities,multi-polarization,and multi-frequency common aperture recombination,etc.,in order to meet a wide range of airspace coverage,have strong anti-interference capabilities,and multi-purpose applications.Therefore,according to the application requirements of array antennas,this paper designs antenna array elements of two frequency bands and a small-and medium-caliber array antenna through research and analysis of small-aperture array antenna units.First of all,this article gives a corresponding overview of the classification and research methods of array antennas,and lists several representative designs,This paper introduces the research background,and compares the current status of research at home and abroad.Innovation points and major contributions.Secondly,two array antenna elements are designed in this paper.In order to realize the antenna radiating electromagnetic waves in two frequency bands,this paper designs two antennas that work in C band and Ku band respectively,both of which are in the form of microstrip.To achieve a wide scanning Angle,the antenna in the Ku band adopts an umbrella structure,and the antenna in the C band adopts Vivaldi.When the electromagnetic wave is radiated,in order to avoid the shielding of the Ku band antenna by the c-band antenna,the c-band antenna is modified accordingly in this paper,only the metal edge of the antenna is retained.Finally,a dual-frequency small aperture phased array antenna is designed.For practical use and low cost,the standardized TR modules are pieced together.At the same time,considering the grid flap condition of the array antenna,the C array adopts rectangular array and the Ku array triangular array.The current distribution on the array antenna is calculatedby using Taylor function analysis,and then the specific excitation on each antenna element is obtained by discrete sampling.Therefore,a small aperture array antenna with 32 C elements and 121 Ku elements was designed.
