With the continuous development of radar and satellite communication technology,the application of large-scale array antennas has become more and more extensive.The design goal of the large-scale array radar is to relieve the pressure of project realization and reduce the use of receiving/transmitting components.The application of subarray technology can effectively solve these problems.In order to simplify the feed network and reduce the complexity of the algorithm,this paper improves the irregular subarray partition algorithm of small array antennas,and on this basis,a sparse array-based irregular subarray division algorithm for large-scale array antennas,which effectively reduces the engineering costs and difficulty of system implementation.The research results and innovations of this article are summarized as follows:First,the second chapter introduces the comprehensive theory of antenna arrays,derives the principle of pattern product,gives the typical structure of subarray partition,the principle of subarray-level beamforming,and the mathematical model of planar array sparse optimization.The third chapter proposes a new type of irregular subarray design scheme based on polydomino subarray for small-scale array,which can ensure the performance of the array pattern while taking into account engineering convenience.The improved heuristic iterative convex relaxation planning method is used to solve the precise coverage problem and realize the precise partition of the front.Finally,flexibly control the subarray module,and analyze the degree of freedom of the array.Aiming at the quantization lobe generated by the limited field of view scanning,wide-angle scanning and grating lobe suppression are achieved by adding control units.The fourth chapter proposes to apply sparse array synthesis methods such as weighted density method and covariance matrix adaptive evolution strategy to the subarray hierarchical partition design of large arrays,and design large-scale sparse and sparse optimization based on irregular subarray module panels.Compare several subarray partition schemes of large-scale arrays,highlight the performance advantages of the irregular subarray partition method of sparse arrays.Finally,non-uniformly amplitude excitation is used to optimize the low sidelobe of the array to further improve the pattern performance.
