The ocean contains abundant natural resources.In recent years,the exploration of marine resources has become more and more popular.However,due to the complex underwater imaging environment,underwater images often have serious degradation phenomena such as low contrast,color distortion and blurred images.This paper proposes three methods to sharp underwater images from different angles.The specific work is as follows:The approach based on fusion can combine multiple image enhancement techniques to achieve complementary advantages and get better results than a single enhancement method used.This paper proposes a new underwater image sharpening method based on the image fusion framework.Firstly,combined with the underwater imaging model,a color correction method based on depth estimation is proposed which can effectively remove the blue(green)color tone of underwater images,and at the same time,solve the red channel overcompensation problem.Meanwhile,in order to improve the contrast of the image,a three-channel contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization method is proposed.Finally,multi-feature multi-scale fusion is performed on the color corrected image and the contrast enhanced image.The experimental results show that the algorithm can effectively remove the color distortion of underwater images and greatly improve the contrast and sharpness of the image.The experimental results show that this algorithm can effectively remove the color distortion of underwater images and greatly improve the contrast and sharpness of images.At present,many underwater image restoration algorithms are not effective in underwater images which suffer from high turbidity or contain artificial light source.Aiming at this problem,this paper proposes a multi-mode transmission estimation method for underwater image.Firstly,according to the relationship between the image blurriness feature and the depth of the image,the transmittance estimation which is suitable for the scene containing the artificial light source is obtained.On the basis of this,in order to realize the information complementation,the red channel and other priori are integrated into the transmittance estimation scheme which can effectively solve the problem of underwater image detail loss and remove color distortion at the same time.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can obtain ideal restoration effects for underwater images with high turbidity and artificial light source.Finally,the paper proposes an underwater image sharpening method based on three-channel wavelet transform to solve the problem of underwater illumination unevenness.Firstly,the homomorphic filter is used to reduce the influence of non-uniform illumination.Then,the wavelet transformed is used to underwater image,and the high frequency sub-band is denoised and enhanced.Finally,the scattered light is removed from the three channels and partitioned.Attenuation is enhanced in different areas.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm is simple and can significantly improve the image contrast.
