With the rapid development of communication technology and computer network,people pay more attention to multimedia communication technology,and the communication mode is gradually transformed from simple voice information service to real-time interaction of audio,video and data.Not only has the distance drawn closer to each other,the way of information sharing is also more abundant.Especially in recent years,with the increase of mobile network coverage and the rapid development of smart phones,multimedia communication based on mobile network is also increasing day by day,such as distance learning,telemedicine,the application of remote multimedia communication services such as remote call center has become a hot topic.Although there are many kinds of multimedia communication systems,portability and extensibility need to be improved.For this purpose,this paper designs and implements a multimedia communication system with simple structure,strong extensibility,simple business process and easy maintenance.The system separates the conference control from the media processing,in which the conference control is implemented by the multi-point conference control server,and the media processing is accomplished by the DSP chip.First,after in-depth research and comparative analysis of various signaling protocols,Asterisk is chosen as the softswitch platform,and SIP is used as the built-in protocol.It is used to monitor and service registered users.Compared with the soft switch platform used in other communication service systems,it has friendly interactivity and higher stability.Second,in the aspect of media processing,the media server designed in this paper consists of two parts: the media server control end and the media processing terminal.As an independent medium,the media controller module enables the multipoint control server to connect to the media processor and exchange data with it.This is also the biggest difference from the traditional multimedia communication system.The structure separates the conference control function from the conference server and uses the media server module to associate the two.Improve the speed of media processing,but also reduce the requirements for the terminal.Thirdly,the multi-point conference control server is designed,and MCU is used as the multi-point control unit.Compared with the multi-point control server based on hardware,it can greatly reduce the difficulty ofsystem development,reduce the development cost,and improve the success rate.
