The Radar target simulator,as a radar simulation test platform,is used to verify the function and main indicators of the radar load and realize the ground test of the radar load.The main process of it is to receive the RF excitation signal emitted by the radar and process it though the internal function module,and then generate a corresponding echo signal containing relevant information about the radar target,so as to realize the echo simulation.Compared with the tradition outfield detection,the Radar target simulation saves a lot of manpower,material and financial resources.In addition,it can also be programmed according to specific function index requirement,making it more convenient,flexible and efficient.As an important part of the radar target simulator,the RF transceiver front-end plays a key role.It acts like a bridge,connecting the antenna end and the digital processing module.They can be divided into receivers and transmitters according to their functions,and the design of the RF front-end directly affects the performance of the entire system.The RF transceiver channels studied in this paper are mainly used for receiving X-band RF signals and processing and transmitting the signals transmitted by the IF module of the radar target simulator.The aim of the paper is to overcome the key technology issues of small size,wide frequency band,and wide output dynamic range.The main research contents of this design include: analysis and comparison of commonly used receiver and transmitter architectures,making reasonable choices according to the relevant technical indicators of the radar target simulator RF module,and constructing a system implementation plan;Design the specific scheme of the RF transceiver channel,select the key components according to the indicators,and use the simulation software to perform the link simulation to verify the feasibility of the scheme;This section describes the knowledge of RF transmission lines.From the aspects of impedance matching,signal integrity,electromagnetic shielding,etc.,design the PCB and shield cavity according to the specific scheme of the RF transceiver channel,then complete hardware implementation;Assemble and debug the hardware circuit,test the relevant index parameters of the independent module,analyze the results and propose improvement directions.Finally tested,the designed RF transceiver channel can accurately send and receive RF signals in the frequency range of X-band.The receiving channel down-converts the RF signal with a power ranging from-30 dBm to +10dBm and transmits it to the IF processing module.After processing by the baseband board and IF processing boards,the IF signal with a power ranging from-30 dBm to 0dBm is transmitted to the RF transmitting channel.The final output power range is from-110 dBm to +10dBm,and the adjustment step is 1dB.
