Microwave photonics is an interdisciplinary subject derived from the combination of optical and electrical signal processing techniques,characterized by the use of optical methods to process microwave signals.Microwave photonics has many research directions,one of which is microwave photonics signal processing.When processing microwave signals,the use of microwave photonics signal processing technology can not only solve the electronic bottleneck problem faced by microwave technology,but also has large operating bandwidth,light weight,low loss,good tunability and reconfigurability,and anti-electromagnetic interference.There are many advantages,so the application prospect is very broad.This thesis has done two parts based on the research of microwave photonic linear link.The work contents are as follows:(1)A third-order sideband suppression structure based on a carrier-suppressed single sideband modulation state implemented by a dual-polarization dual-parallel Mach-Zehnder modulator.The microwave photonics system improves the linear range of the system by increasing the dynamic range of tens of dB by suppressing the residual third-order sideband components in the singlesideband modulation process.(2)A photonics based microwave hybrid coupler with tunable coupling ratio and phase difference.In this paper,a microwave hybrid coupler structure based on microwave photonics method is proposed for the first time.Through a series of theoretical studies and experimental verification.Photonics based microwave hybrid coupler with an operating bandwidth of 6 to16 GHz is realized.The results have demonstrated a tunable 3 dB to 20 dB coupling ratio and tunable 0° to 360° phase difference hybrid coupler with an operating frequency of 6 to 16 GHz.Furthermore,the hybrid coupler has <2° phase deviation and<2 dB amplitude imbalance over the operating frequency range.
