With the rapid development of CG technology,three-dimensional digital characters are widely used in many fields such as movies,animation,military,medicine,etc.to replace traditional live performances,greatly reducing the production cost of digital products and circumventing some high-risk actions and the environment's potential risks to special effects actors.Of course,the industry is also increasingly demanding the quality and production efficiency of digital character models.At present,character model making mostly adopts the traditional modeling process of manual wiring and digital engraving.This traditional model making method has extremely high production technical requirements and ability requirements for modelers,and the model making period is long and the efficiency is low.designers cannot quickly produce high-precision,high-quality realistic 3D character models in a short time.Three-dimensional scanning technology can quickly obtain high-precision digital models of scanned objects by scanning the body of a real person,improve the production efficiency of the character model,and at the same time ensure the accuracy and quality of the character model.It is a kind of character model design and production currently being explored.However,the character model generated by the3 D scanning technology has too many point cloud data and messy wiring methods.It needs to be sculpted,topologically and other technologies to sort it out and remake the model UV to meet the needs of character binding and texture drawing.At present,domestic 3D scanning technology is mainly used in industry,archaeology and other fields,and there is a lack of systematic ideas and methods for making character models.How to quickly generate high-precision and high-quality models through three-dimensional scanning technology,so that the model's wiring,textures and other data meet the requirements of movies and animations has become an important technical issue in the entire CG circle.Therefore,it is particularly urgent to optimize the design of the three-dimensional realistic scanning character model production process.Through analyzes the principles,advantages and technical dilemmas of 3D scanned characters,combined with traditional digital modeling,digital engraving,and topology technology to optimize the point cloud data of the scanned model,so that the scanned model meets the technical specifications of movies and animations.Meanwhile,the quality of the model which is redesigned on the modelUV and drew high-precision UV maps,meets people's aesthetic needs.This method of applying scanning technology to the production of digital character models optimizes the technical process of producing realistic character models,guarantees the production efficiency of model production,improves the accuracy and artistry of realistic character models,and provides new ideas for designing realistic character models.
