| Receiving of weak microwave signal has been attached many attentions in microwave photonics research.The most important work in this subject is how to improve the modulation efficiency of electro-optic upconverters.The traditional electro-optic modulator like Mach–Zehnder has high power consumption(1m W~ 1W)that cannot be applied to weak microwave signals receiving.And to this problem,a novel method is proposed in this paper.We enhance the electro-optic upconverters efficiency by using high Q Li Nb O 3 micro-ring resonator to improve the nonlinear effects of electric signal and optical carrier.Based on this method,we finally achieved 5Mb/s weak microwave signal receiving in simulation,which the minimum detectable power is-82.966 d Bm(0.005 n W).In this dissertation,we first review some research progresses of both the microring resonator and weak microwave signal receiving,and demonstrate our analysis;Then we discuss the theory used in this dissertation,which includes the theory of micro-ring resonator and microstrip line;Base on the theory,we provide the work principle of this weak microwave signal receiving system by analyzing the function of micro-ring resonator and microstrip line;After that,we discuss about the performance of this system through three angle: the properties of micro-ring resonator,the properties of microstrip electrode and phase match;finally,we set the appropriate parameters according to the above analysis results,and do the simulative calculation of this weak microwave signal receiving system. |
