With the rapid development of the fifth generation mobile communication system(5G),the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has determined several new frequency bands to meet the new requirements of high data rate, low delay, low cost and high system capacity in 5G era.Base station antenna is an important part of communication system, which will play an increasingly important role. For the base station antenna, adding a new frequency band requires adding a new antenna unit, which means that it needs to occupy a large amount of space resources, resulting in high operation and maintenance costs. In order to save space resources as much as possible, broadband and miniaturized multifrequency base station antenna has become the focus, hotspot and difficulty of academic and engineering research at present and in the future for a long time, which also has important practical application value. This paper focuses on the following research:(?)Based on the dual polarization printed dipole antenna unit,a design method of broadband miniaturized base station antenna unit is proposed. From the point of view of the circular cross dipole fed by coupling,by studying its resonance characteristics,we introduce tangent angle and impedance matching cylinder on the circular dipole arm and the dipole terminal, respectively,to realize the miniaturization of the antenna unit.On this basis,we find that new resonance frequency points can be added by adding appropriate coupling structure, and by reasonably designing the shape of the coupling structure and The parameters can extend the impedance bandwidth of the antenna unit from 46%(1690MHz?2690MHz)to 63%(1400?2700MHz)to achieve broadband. The combination of the two can realize the broadband and miniaturization of the base station antenna unit at the same time. The simulation results show that the antenna designed by us not only achieves broadband miniaturization, but also has stable pattern and gain characteristics. In addition, according to the scaling principle,we get the base station antenna basic unit with the working frequency band of 690-960 MHz and 3300-3800 MHz respectively.(?)Based on the broadband miniaturized base station antenna unit,we study the array arrangement of three frequency bands. In order to save space resources,we try to integrate the antenna unit corresponding to the new frequency band(3300 ? 3800 MHz)into the base station antenna of the fourth generation mobile communication system. For the fourth generation mobile communication system, the base station antenna is the integration of two band antenna arrays,1690-2690 MHz and 690-960 MHz respectively. We fully study the array arrangement of dual frequency base station antennas, and on this basis,we propose two "shoulder to shoulder" array arrangements of triple frequency base station antennas.(?)The coupling problems of multi-band base station antenna arrays are studied. After research and feasibility analysis of mainstream decoupling schemes adopted by domestic and foreign researchers, two decoupling schemes for tri-band base station antenna arrays are proposed.
