At present,high frequency surface wave radar(HFSWR)has attracted wide attention because of its characteristics such as over-the-horizon detection and all-weather work.Due to the limitation of the working frequency band,HFSWR requires a large area of space.It is one of the development trends to reduce the footprint of the radar system while ensuring the radar detection performance.The transceiver HFSWR uses transceiver integrated antenna technology to reduce the antenna array footprint,which has great advantages compared with the traditional transceiver array separation scheme.This paper takes this system as the research object,designs and implements the control software of the transmit beamforming subsystem,and applies the transmit beamforming technology to the field of high frequency surface wave radar to ensure the performance of the radar system.At first,for the research of transmit beamforming technology,this paper starts with the principle of phased array antenna,analyzes the influence of system parameters on the synthetic beam by using uniform linear array as an example,and discusses the suppression effect of common window function on the side lobes of transmitted beam.The effect of energy space synthesis after beamforming is analyzed.The beam pattern function of the transceiver integrated antenna array used in the project is derived.The different working modes of the transmitting and receiving integrated HFSWR and the traditional HF ground wave radar are analyzed.The control principle of transmitting digital beamforming based on multi-path signal generation is studied.The influence of amplitude and phase error caused by inconsistency between transmission channels on the transmitting beam is analyzed.Then,the control software overall scheme of the transmit beamforming subsystem is designed,based on the theoretical research.Also,the software operating environment,composition and function are determined.The control software is designed and implemented by combining with the hardware of the project.Afterwards,the performance indicators of the key hardware devices in the system and the beam control function of the software are tested.The workflow and working sequence of the subsystem are given.Finally,the system is used to compensate the channel inconsistency and the compensation is verified through semi-physical simulation.The control software designed in this paper provides a debugging verification platform for the control of transmit beamforming,and at the same time the communication interface to the central host of the radar system is reserved.The test results show that the hardware devices of the system perform well,and the software control functions meet the system requirements.The compensation effect of channel inconsistency is good.
