With the advent of the fifth generation of mobile communications,multimedia applications such as ultra-clear live video,VR panoramic video,AR video,etc.are becoming more and more popular and popular,followed by high-speed,largebandwidth,multi-connection multimedia Communication mode,so transmission performance also needs to be further improved.Therefore,when performing multimedia transmission,you can choose the UDP protocol with a faster rate.However,the use of UDP protocol in the transmission process may cause the situation that the reliability of blocking and packet loss cannot be guaranteed,so this article introduces the fountain code at the application layer and uses the Raptor code.Forward error correction on the transmission data packet to improve the reliability of communication.In order to introduce Raptor codes,this article analyzes the performance of Raptor codes,analyzes from the aspects of code length of Raptor codes,compilation time and selection of system Raptor codes,and selects the appropriate code package length according to the requirements of multimedia communication.,Decoding overhead,system Raptor code types,etc.Next,take the establishment of a multimedia video communication system as an example.At the application layer,the video is compressed and transcoded into a video stream.The video stream is Raptor coded to form a Raptor code packet stream,which is pushed into the network in the form of UDP packets.The receiving end performs raptor conversion on the code packet to recover the lost signal.In order to verify the transmission performance of video communication based on Raptor code,the number of packet loss is counted in the case of Raptor coding and Raptor coding of different lengths,and the ability of anti packet loss is compared.The relationship between delay and fluency in video transmission is analyzed,and the good combination of multimedia video transmission and Raptor code is realized.At present,the amount of multimedia transmission data is showing an increasing trend.In order to ensure the transmission of higher images and videos within a given bandwidth,the sender usually compresses the data before transmission,using formats such as jpg,png,jpeg Image compression,MPEG-based video compression,regionof-interest compression,and other compression technologies,so that the compressed data has different levels of importance during transmission.According to this,this paper improves a Raptor code with unequal error protection,which can protect the important parts.After the coding and decoding process,the symbols of the important parts have a higher probability of successful transmission.Combined with the image compression technology,the important part of the compressed data is set to MIB,the other is set to LIB,and the UEP-Raptor code is selected for channel coding to recover the lost data packet.Finally,the experiment proves that this scheme effectively improves the data transmission quality.
