Positioning system is an important part of high-precision machine tools and electronic equipment manufacturing industry, which not only plays an important role in control accuracy, but also in processing efficiency and product quality. In this paper,an automatic positioning system based on machine vision is designed. The industrial camera is used as the position detection sensor to collect the image. The upper computer and VC + + image processing software are used to calibrate the position of the control object, and the fuzzy PID control algorithm is used to drive the executive mechanism of the moving platform,so as to achieve the accurate and high-speed positioning function requirements.Firstly, the development of positioning system at home and abroad is summarized, and the general design of automatic positioning system based on machine vision is given.Secondly, the fuzzy self-tuning PID control algorithm is proposed. This algorithm can not only meet the fast response and small steady-state error, but also is simple and easy to operate. The positioning system of this subject is designed with this algorithm as the core.In addition to the algorithm, the position detection of the image part, the circuit design of the control circuit, the driving mode of the stepping motor, the communication between the upper computer and the lower computer are all designed. The upper computer uses MFC to design the control interface, and the lower computer uses Hal library to complete the single-chip control. Finally, the reliability of the positioning system is verified by experiments. In the experiment,by positioning the object in different position, the error can reach below 20 ? m,which proves the accuracy of position control, and the system runs smoothly in the positioning process, which ensures the feasibility of the positioning system.
