Wireless sensor networks(WSNs)are used in many aspects of today's smart society, but due to their own limitations, the batteries of nodes in the network are usually not replaceable. Therefore,in the main and basic application of data collection in a sensor network, the high energy efficiency of the collection strategy is one of the important research points to save the energy expenditure of the sensor network and extend the network life cycle. In wireless sensor networks, due to the large amount of communication between nodes, nodes near the sink nodes consume energy faster than others. The use of mobile sink node is a good way to solve this problem, the use of mobility balancing energy in the network, but it will brings two new problems:(i)the overhead of update routing information;(ii)as Non-periodic query increases operation delay.Aiming at the shortcomings, this paper proposes an energy-efficient data collection strategy, which reduces the energy consumption of nodes, and finally achieves the purpose of extending the life cycle of wireless sensor networks.(1)In order to solve the problem of update routing overhead and the non-periodical query of nodes adding extra activity time,a sink-based transmission scheduling data collection strategy was proposed.Sensor nodes do not update routing information. The sink node collects node location information and indicates routing. Each node is equipped with a low-power wake-up receiver.By combining asymmetric multi-hop communication and wake-up radio, the sink node determines transmission scheduling, and using high-power transmiss wake-up information, directly activates a pair of nodes on each hop for data collection, reduces node active time in idle state, thereby reducing node energy consumption and extending the life cycle.(2)In order to solve the two problems of the proposed strategy in the actual environment, the frame loss caused by multipath fading and longer data collection time, the proposed strategy was further improved.By adaptively adding the number of consecutive wake-up signal transmissions and the number of data retransmission slots, the problem of frame loss is solved.By using multiple channels, the transmission of the wake-up signal and the transmission of data can be performed in parallel, which can effectively reduce the time used for data collection. Finally, the NS-2 simulation platform is used to evaluate the strategy proposed in this article.Corresponding experimental comparisons show that the improved strategy improves the frame transmission rate.Compared with other methods,it reduces the maximum node energy consumption, which improves the energy use efficiency and overall performance of the wireless sensor network, and extends the entire network lifetime.
