The wireless body area network(WBAN)technology has been taking shape with the gradual maturity of wireless sensor network technology. The sensors of WBAN are arranged on the surface of the human body or implanted in the body, thus being able to move following the human body.Due to the mobility of WBAN and the limitation on the available network resources, multiple WBANs interfere with each other when they come together, leading to undesirable consequences such as low reliability or high latency. This unreliable communication is intolerable to users of WBAN,and sometimes even threatens human life. Many scholars have proposed interference mitigation strategies for coexistence WBANs.However, the interference mitigation strategies in static or semi-dynamic WBANs do not consider channel utilization fully, and those in dynamic WBANs do not take into account the problems of low delay and low power consumption while maintaining low interference. To solve these problems, this paper proposes two interference mitigation strategies, which are applied to static or semi-dynamic WBANs and dynamic WBANs respectively. The main contents are summarized as follows:1)An interference mitigation strategy based on the neighbor information table is proposed for static and semi-dynamic WBANs.The strategy uses information exchange among coexisting WBANs to classify coexisting WBANs and then allocates channels according to the classification results, trying to ensure that all directly adjacent WBANs use different channels to transmit data to avoid coexistence interference. At the same time, the strategy is dedicated to minimizing the number of classes when classifying, that is,ensuring that the coexistence body area network is used normally while using fewer channels, ensuring higher channel utilization to reduce the waste of channel resources. We prove the effectiveness of the strategy through simulation results.2)An interference mitigation strategy based on Latin squares and hash for transmission resource scheduling is proposed for dynamic wireless body area networks. In the data transmission phase of this strategy, the Latin square can be used for channel and time slot allocation without information exchange among coexisting WBANs,which is more suitable for the mobility of dynamic WBANs.In the data retransmission phase, retransmission opportunities are provided, and the network information of each sensor and hash function are used to calculate the retransmission time slot without switching channels, which is beneficial to saving energy consumption and reducing delay. We conducted algorithm analysis and verification to prove the superiority of this strategy in many aspects such as packet loss rate and power consumption. In summary, this paper mainly proposes two interference mitigation strategies applicable to different situations for the coexistence interference problem of WBANs.The theoretical analysis and simulation results verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the research work.
