The Polar codes is a new and efficient channel coding technology which was the only channel coding scheme that had been proved to reach the channel capacity theoretically so far.It had been determined by the international organization for mobile communication standardization as the coding scheme of 5G enhanced mobile broadband(eMBB)scenario control channel.It had become the focus of scholars since the Polar codes was first proposed.As we all know,the performance of Polar codes with finite codes length was not ideal.How to improve the performance of Polar codes in finite codes length was a hot issues in current research.In this thesis,the polarization weight construction method in 5G communication standard was used to study and improve the decoding algorithm of the Polar codes,and the method of concatenated codes was used to further improve the performance of the Polar codes.The main research work was summarized as follows:(1)This thesis also studied three common decoding algorithms of the Polar codes based on the construction method of polarization weight in 5G communication standard: Successive Cancellation(SC)decoding algorithm,Successive Cancellation List(SCL)decoding algorithm and Cyclic Redundancy Check Assisted Successive Sancellation List(CRC-SCL)decoding algorithm which were studied and their performance was simulated and analyzed.(2)Research on the parity check(PC)assisted CRC-SCL decoding algorithm which was an improvement on the CRC-SCL decoding algorithm.PC bits were added during the decoding process.The auxiliary path metric value was used to trim the decoding path to ensure the reliability of the decoding path selection,thereby improving its error correction performance.This algorithm effectively made up for the shortcoming that the CRC-SCL decoding algorithm did not have any auxiliary measures during the decoding process to help the path metric to trim the decoding path correctly.Simulation experiments proved that compared with the CRC-SCL decoding algorithm,the improved decoding algorithm of the Polar codes had better performance.(3)This thesis studied the cascading scheme of the LDPC codes and Polar codes.The LDPC codes were used as the outer codes,and the Polar codes were used as the inner codes.Two decoding schemes were used for decoding research in decoding.One was the cascade decoding of SC algorithm and BP algorithm,and the other was LDPC codes assisted SCL decoding algorithm.Simulation experiments proved that the cascade scheme had better error correction performance.Both decoding schemes had their own advantages for concatenated codes of different code lengths.In specific communication applications,you can choose the appropriate decoding according to the actual situation.
