The radar technology of multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO)based on frequency diversity array(FDA)framework compensated the range-ambiguity of the space-time adaptive processing(STAP)of high-speed moving platform radar.However,in the airborne MIMO radar,full-dimension STAP requires tremendous level of computational complexity and training samples.Meanwhile,when the prior knowledge is inaccurate,Two-dimensional pulse-to-pulse canceller(TDPC)of ground clutter as the pre-filter will drastically impact the performance of moving target detection.Therefor,this paper intends to design a dimension-reduced STAP method for airborne FDA-MIMO radar to reduce the computational complexity and training samples.In addition,this paper improves the robustness of TDPC as a pre-filter under the circumstance of inaccurate prior knowledge.The main contents are divided into the following aspects:(1)Establishing the signals model of airborne FDA-MIMO radar,analyzing the advantages of optimal STAP under the FDA-MIMO radar framework and its shortcomings of high computational complexity and samples demand.Then Applying the joint domain localized(JDL)algorithm to the FDA-MIMO radar after distance compensation.And further performing the weight vector decomposition,this algorithm decomposes the weight vector of adaptive processing into two sub-vectors.Then the required weight vector is given in the form of Kronecker product of optimal solutions of the two sub-vectors derived from iteration.This method significantly reduces the computational complexity and samples demand of the adaptive processing in FDA-MIMO radar.(2)Proposing a error-based TDPC(EBTDPC).First analyzing the influences of platform velocity error and crab angle estimating error on the clutter Doppler frequency.Furthermore,To enhance robustness of TDPC under the circumstance of inaccurate radar system parameters,which are mainly the platform velocity and crab angle,integrating the errors of estimated platform velocity and crab angle as the prior knowledge into the design of clutter-filter coefficient matrix.As a result,EBTDPC can heighten the performance of the subsequent non-adaptive detection algorithm or STAP algorithm.(3)Appling the EBTDPC as a prefilter to the airborne FDA-MIMO radar and cascaded with the JDL based on weight vector decomposing to form a two-stage pre-filter and target detector.Simulation experiments show that the design of EBTDPC and subsequent dimension-reduced STAP method can effectively suppress clutter and heighten the moving target detection performance while reducing the computational complexity and samples demand when the platform velocity and crab angle are inaccurate...
