The electromagnetic spectrum of short-wave infrared is between visible light and medium and long wave infrared,and has the characteristics of good night vision in low light,matching atmospheric windows,and strong ability to penetrate fog and haze.In recent years,with the rapid development of short-wave infrared technology,short-wave infrared imagers based on InGaAs focal plane(FPAs)detectors have been widely used in various fields such as aerospace,defense military,biomedicine,and civil inspection.The application also puts forward higher requirements on the performance of the short-wave infrared imager,and the research on the noise characteristics of the short-wave infrared imager has also become a research hotspot in recent years.This paper focuses on the short-wave infrared imager based on the domestic InGaAs FPAs detector,and focuses on the study of the noise characteristics of the imager with the experimental equipment of noise characteristics as the core.This paper first briefly introduces the noise sources of short-wave infrared imagers and the factors that affect the noise of the imager,for FPAs working noise influence factors such as temperature and integral time,design the research experiment device noise characteristics.Then based on the noise characteristics of the experimental device,focusing on the noise characteristics of short-wave infrared imagers,and on this basis,further explore the beneficial effects of low temperature on short-wave infrared images under low illumination conditions.The main research contents of this paper are summarized as follows:1)Combine the advantages and applications of short-wave infrared imagers,this paper expounds the current status of imager noise at home and abroad.Based on the temperature characteristics of short-wave infrared imagers,a high-precision,high-efficiency and low-noise cooling temperature control module(temperature measurement range is-50??60?,temperature measurement accuracy is ±0.01?)is designed and developed,which achieves effective temperature control and cooling of the imager.The noise characteristic analysis module of the short-wave infrared imager are developed to solve the problem of large and complicated calculation of multi-frame short-wave infrared images.At the same time,combined with the short-wave infrared imager developed by the research group,an experimental equipment for noise characteristics research was designed.2)By the experimental equipment for noise characteristics research,and use the control variable method to complete the relevant data collection of the imager's operating temperature and integration time and other parameters.Based on a large amount of data(about 160,000 short-wave infrared images),the relationship between different parameters and the noise of the short-wave infrared imager is studied.And the variation of imager noise under different parameters is obtained.According to the results of noise research,the beneficial effects of low temperature on the short-wave infrared imager under low illumination conditions were explored,which further proved the optimization effect of cooling on the short-wave infrared imager.
